Africa Operation Whole © 2002

We often receive
varied and numerous inquiries from those who want to be involved with OPERATION
WHOLE. The following will help answer those who desire involvement.
EMPLOYMENT:
ARE
PRESENTLY LIVING IN AFRICA AND LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT:
![]()
We are a charitable, humanitarian voluntary organization and as such do not
hire anyone, as we do not have funding for salaries. We do, however, inform
interested persons of the nearest seminar you may attend for training and
then give you sufficient stock to get started at no charge. You will, however,
have to find your own funding for all your local needs in AIDS ministry implementation.
IF YOU ARE LIVING ABROAD (OUTSIDE OF AFRICA) AND
DESIRE TO COME AND HELP OUT IN THE MINISTRY, HERE ARE SOME GUIDELINES:
![]()
Requirements:
OPERATION
WHOLE does need voluntary helpers, preferably teachers, nurses, children/youth
leaders, administrative/computer assistants, graphic designers and those with
excellent writing skills. As a general rule, we prefer assistants to stay
a minimum of 1-2 years. You must work through your local church and give documented
recommendation from your local church pastor that you are qualified in the
area where they feel you can best serve the ministry program.
Cost:
As do we, you would be required to raise your own funds sufficient for your
air tickets, field housing, transportation, and living requirements for the
duration. We will help with a budget once you have been approved to join us.
We do not provide financial assistance, but we will keep you busy! Our relationship
works as a team effort and not as an employer- employee
relationship. Once your desires have been expressed and your local church
is in support of you, then you would be required to complete an application
through the Assemblies of God, USA, for our MAPS
(Missionary Assistant Placement Service) and proceed from there.
If you are outside the USA you would be required to apply through affiliated ministries with whom we work and their similar missionary assistant programs. We can advise you of these. Those that are approved become welcomed members of OWs team, working in all phases of the HIV/AIDS ministries in many countries. However, approval by this procedure is absolutely necessary and as a general rule, we just cannot accommodate people from abroad coming for a few weeks in their summer vacation. The exception to this would be church missions teams which are organized by their local church and special arrangements are made with us for involvement in specific projects. This is arranged on a one-to-one basis.
